You are not dust
I love philosophy but I avoid philosophers that are spreading only depression instead of revealing the things that make life worth living.
Like I heard this "We are nothing but dust because we're mortal, life makes no sense, we should kill ourselves today"- BAWWWING.
You are not dust. If you think you're already dust because you'll be dead in the future, then you fail at living in the presence!
Living at the presence, the presence itself, is the only moment where you can actually influence things. Look around you, everything you see is traces from past creatures, events, and actions. You won't remember their names or other details but the traces will be there anyway.
Imagine everything decided to kill itself- everything would disappear. This would also include the disappearing of what makes life bearable to awesome: little and big things that make you happy.
I admit I suffered from depression for a long time, serious depressions,
when I was young. However, later I found out a good key to happiness is to be grateful, and have few expectations towards the world (especially the people). Because when you expect things, chances are high you take them for granted. You get kindness, food, warmth, without appreciating them properly, without being happy about them. And when you expect things that don't happen you'll only be more disappointed. So you're either feeling neutral or disappointed.
Not saying you shouldn't work on yourself and that perfectionism for your own works is bad of course, I'm talking about the things outside of these.
If you're still depressed then start doing this: write a list in which you find at least five things in your daily life that you're grateful for. You'll be able to find them. It's hard work when you're deep in the depression, that's true. But trust me you'll grow strong and before you know it. And kick the depression right in the nuts.
Of course this is only me stating an opinion. Because it makes me sad to see people that feel like they're worth nothing.
Just wanna help.
